Review on Eclipse Tools 902 355 Shrink Tubing by Adam Nelson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent single wall tubing

This is a 2:1 single wall tubing with good gauge. I bought another 2:1 tubing with thinner walls and the results were disappointing: the joint wouldn't stand up to flexing, and the tubing would sometimes puncture if there were sharp pins in the spliced wire. This is the tube I prefer for most of my everyday splicing needs. When I need unusual joint stiffness or waterproofing (e.g. to fix a broken extension) I use 3:1 double wall tubing with internal adhesive, but that's overkill for traditional joints. Pros and cons of this kit:+ 2:1 large gauge tubing+ Good size distribution, many smaller sizes which I use most+ Good length, covers almost every joint (and splits well into 2-4 pieces for smaller joints) + A A good storage box makes a big difference in sizing + Just Using black tubes makes your life easier. Black does not conflict with any cable color. Regular color hoses (e.g. red) will not run out until other colors are still available. - For heavy-duty or watertight connections, it is better to use 3:1 double wall tubing with glue. - If you prefer to use color coded connector hoses, this kit will not work
