This watercolor pencil set is phenomenal! This is high quality, especially at such a low price for such pens. They can be layered and when used with water they blend smoothly. You can use a little water to get the pencil lines, or you can use a lot of shading to give the impression that you only used watercolor. Once the water dries, the paper's teeth also regenerate, allowing endless layers to be applied to the paper. 5 stars for the pens themselves which are the product. The only thing I would like to warn buyers about is that it does not directly affect the quality. The tin case isn't very strong, but it's fine for general use. It's still a great case for her, but be weary of the bumps and kinks. (They can be "knocked out" by hand if needed.) The other thing is that all the colors of the product are in kanji characters, but it does contain a key at the top of the inside of the tin. As with many color products, colors may not match exact paint. I always test each color with each product before using it. HERO watercolor pencils do this better than most. Item is exactly as pictured with one small change. Some unwritten inclusions in the set: 1 extra watercolor brush and a plastic sheet, good for pre-mixing paints. I've used these pencils on 3 projects already and haven't had to sharpen any of them. The lead is strong and they will definitely last. 110% worth the money. Even someone new to watercolor or colored pencils has plenty of quality products to experiment with or for professional use. Attached is a photo of one of my projects.
