I am very happy with it now that I have it. Here are some tips: The wire spool, components and instructions are INSIDE the welder. I was stunned at first! - Don't let the wire fray. Be very careful when feeding it, otherwise you will have to throw it away. It's like a giant feather that will unfurl in a second. From the lowest level to the highest level: min. one minute. two, max one, max two. (I'm drawing) - If your home circuit is 15 amps, you can start tripping the breaker after the minimum setting (at least one). Min one didn't work for me at all. I would recommend getting a 25' 12 gauge extension cord and using the outlet in the kitchen. Most outlets are rated for 20 amps because they power electronic devices. They don't recommend a 50ft cable, but you can use it. I set the wire speed to different speeds depending on the power intensity. But I like to use the Max One with 4 speeds. The kit includes a spring that tensions the wire spool. This was not evident in the instructions. This spring provides tension to prevent the wire spool from unwinding. If your wire is fed incorrectly you will never make a good bead. You can remove the tip of the welder as it does not use gas. It will also help you see better. Be sure to get a new mask! I have a $30 auto dimming. What they send you is a flat piece of plastic and just a piece of dark glass. Nothing is visible until sparks appear. This is a prehistoric model - if you don't have one I would recommend: extra tips .30 ($5), 2lb wire .30 ($20), welding gloves $10, good helmet ($30), 12 gauge extension cord 25-Foot Cord ($25) - You can wear an old leather jacket and leather shoes. I was wearing sneakers and they burned through the top and toe. I have a reminder to dress appropriately! Good luck and happy welding!
