Review on Canon EF 85mm f1.2L II USM πŸ“· Lens: Perfect for Canon DSLR Cameras - Fixed-Focus Excellence by Wiktor Ambroziak ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Everything is fine, I liked the product, I bought it for a reason.

changed focal lengths from 135 to 85 and 50 to 35. at 85, in principle, you can generally shoot everything without forgetting to tighten the hole. someone writes they say that at 1.2 the sharpness is bad, , it’s not bad sharpness, but an extremely shallow depth of field and by tightening the aperture, little changes (except for even sharper, clearer frames), you need to take this fact into account (download a flu calculator on your phone, you will understand everything). by the way, the magic of gl is revealed precisely at 1.2, but only in capable hands, who thinks over each frame, and does not hammer like from a machine gun. for those who have encountered this gl for the first time, I recommend shooting through the display and on a tripod. , in comparison with 135 to 135, all people turn out to be ideal and even a little thin as a result of perspective compression. 85 has the opposite effect. and the perfect match for him is 24 mm.

Pros
  • A definite plus is the diaphragm. F 1.2 is T 1.5 (put dislikes but it's true) the picture is sharp, large portraits are just cl. The best gl for portrait photography of children.
Cons
  • lame hard. if you want to shoot a person in full growth and so that the landscape is beautiful, wake up spitting. 135 f2 is generally perfect with this. especially if you take group photos. very noticeable and corny in Photoshop can no longer be corrected.
