Exactly as promised by the manufacturer, high quality.

Just for the sake of working with this lens, I left one system for Kenon. Yes, working with old nickels, I encountered some difficulties in using this lens. But with the advent of mirrorless cameras, having bought an Eos R for yourself, many of the disadvantages are in the past. This is my favorite and most expensive lens.

Pros
  • Incredible drawing, huge aperture ratio, reliable design.
Cons
  • I can't find it for myself. The advantages of this lens outweigh the possible disadvantages.

For FF: Sharp from 1.2 in the center, sharp around f/4 at the edges. I took it instead of 135/2, which I have already regretted several times. IMHO his tasks: - full-length and half-length portraits, in which he shows himself very well; - shooting in low light. An example of my use of this lens is here: Got pros: Aperture, color reproduction, high contrast, good (but not perfect bokeh), low HA level. Compared to 50 / 1.2L, it is noticeably sharper at all apertures. Some cons: VERY slow…

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

Great lens and my favorite focal length. My first glass from canon, which, when adjusted, showed that it does not need additional add-ons. I also have a 135 2.0l that I bought a year earlier, many are trying tocommpare them - on my own I will say 135 worthy glass, previously I shot 80% of the shooting on the street with it, now this percentage falls on 85-ku as a more universal glass wider possibilities. Regarding the speed of autofocus, people are mostly dissatisfied with what they don’t…

Pros
  • Aperture Execution quality Color rendering Expensive
Cons
  • There is no dust and moisture protection and perhaps a construct with a retractable lens block - it causes concern - it’s better not to wear it without being pale. I wish it was only for you :)

Was bought after using 70-200 2.8, I realized that 70-200 glass is more for work, excellent glass but a bit boring, although I won’t give it away, only if I change it to 70-200 2.8 is ii, if I understand that it’s really better. Now about the distant and mysterious eighty-five In the store I chose from three glasses. So: the first glass, as I understand it, the sellers have been trying to sell for a long time, there is a small lead dot on the inner lens, perhaps this does not affect the image…

Pros
  • the best of the best!
Cons
  • so many pluses that the minuses are not noticeable!

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

A true unsurpassed masterpiece of optics. Its purpose - a portrait lens - justifies by 150%. I use it mainly when shooting women's and children's portraits. Compared it with its progenitor - Canon FD 85mm f/1.2L I think that the modern version is slightly, but better The lens is not suitable for dynamic scenes - it focuses slowly. But it focuses very accurately.

Pros
  • Airy, light, gentle picture Fresh, pure colors Soft contrast
Cons
  • Expected high chromatic aberration at full open Front lens assembly requires careful handling

Great quality, happy with it one hundred percent!

I'll try to form an objective essment. 1. Do we need f/1.2? In film times, this was ofcomurse more relevant. But, aperture does not happen much, in any case. The only thing I don’t advise is to shoot outdoors where it’s inappropriate, i. E. in sunny weather, in fact, only for the sake of shooting outdoors. Because in the picture we get fragments with a purple border - transverse XA. Especially incomntrasting areas (white with black). By the way, the same thing can be observed on other fixes…

Pros
  • Working at f/1.2 Kind thing.
Cons
  • There are no dust and moisture protection, in fact, as on many other L-fixes

changed focal lengths from 135 to 85 and 50 to 35. at 85, in principle, you can generally shoot everything without forgetting to tighten the hole. someone writes they say that at 1.2 the sharpness is bad, , it’s not bad sharpness, but an extremely shallow depth of field and by tightening the aperture, little changes (except for even sharper, clearer frames), you need to take this fact into account (download a flu calculator on your phone, you will understand everything). by the way, the magic…

Pros
  • A definite plus is the diaphragm. F 1.2 is T 1.5 (put dislikes but it's true) the picture is sharp, large portraits are just cl. The best gl for portrait photography of children.
Cons
  • lame hard. if you want to shoot a person in full growth and so that the landscape is beautiful, wake up spitting. 135 f2 is generally perfect with this. especially if you take group photos. very noticeable and corny in Photoshop can no longer be corrected.

Good value for money, I recommend.

The lens is praised as an excellent portrait lens, but its capabilities are much wider. Being a week in Venice, I decided to devote the whole day to this lens. All day long, without taking off, I walked around the city with him. The result surprised and delighted me! Here are some photos showing its capabilities. ? page=0 ? page=0 ? page=3 ? page=3 After that day, I just rediscovered this lens! And now I will put it much more often.

Pros
  • Draws very softly and at the same time maintains sharpness in details. I really like the color rendition. Good for shooting in low light. Taking pictures at 1.2 is just a pleasure, room for creativity.
Cons
  • What, of course, is very upsetting in the lens is the price. Today, amazon shows a price of 67,000.

It is impossible to use, a bad product.

Pros: Aperture, sharp, there are aspherical elements in the optical design. Cons below: Plastic, constructive like a whale lens. Slow autofocus. Chromatic aberrations. Insanely expensive for the above disadvantages.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

Has pros: Good lens, but not sharp. Suitable pros. Canon EF 85 f / 1.8 with 2.0 is not inferior to him in anything. Checked. Determine the differences difficult. Has some cons The price is doubled. Slow autofocus. Heavy. The quality is inferior to other lenses, even from the Canon line. Not great.

There are several shortcomings, but, it corresponds to the norm.

Even if someone finds the content of my review to be contradictory, I simply cannot refrain from writing what I have to say about this model. The scream of the heart, in a manner of speaking. Because I rented it to try it out first, it's in almost brand-new condition. Sadly, I came to the realization that I have a number of fundamental flaws in myself. I don't argue, yes, of course everything is subjective, and it's possible that my hands are crooked, but even so. It's possible that I came…

Pros
  • Everyone is aware of it.
Cons
  • Autofocus. It will not focus when there is insufficient light. It does not primarily concentrate on the same background over and over again.

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

The primary opening in this itty-bitty thing is not, in fact, one of them. The drawing is the most important part. Before deciding to purchase one, I tried out a lens by renting one first. In point of fact, those who are skeptical should choose this testing alternative since it makes the most sense. I made up my mind to buy it after learning that it is perfectly acceptable for them to photograph not only portraits but also the entirety of an event such as a wedding. In general, my viewpoint…

Pros
  • bokeh, picture, aperture (working aperture of 1.2), color reproduction, and volume. A dependable appearance and a source of pride:)
Cons
  • The camera is heavy, the autofocus is slow, and the minimum focusing distance is almost one meter.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

When I first got it, I put it through certain tests, and the results showed that it had a good degree of sharpness. The focus is typical. They were able to scare off a little HA on an open hole, but this is still a feature of the model and not an incident! As I was shopping, one of my greatest concerns was that I would be misled in my expectations during actual use, and not during the testing phase. Uncertainty and skepticism were left behind after the very first session. I was taken aback by…

Pros
  • In the blur zone, there is a gorgeous blur character. The blurriness of the image, in conjunction with the crispness introduced by 1.2 Accurate color reproduction! Focusing that is both precise and dogged! Micro contrast that is really high Excellent resolution Narrow depth of field, and as a result, a great deal of room for creative expression! Constructive The focal length that should be used for taking portraits with a full-frame sensor (this is not really a plus for this lens)
Cons
  • The heft of it The focusing speed is not fast enough, although this is not an issue when taking staged portraits. I almost forgot about all of the benefits that come with using HA on an open hole!

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

Please find 2 photos I have attached. Now, that's nonsense; the lens can produce some really neat effects. (natural light from the balcony's windows on a rainy day) ISO 125 1/1.2 photograph

Pros
  • She's the only one who needs this photo.
Cons
  • You can't use him for sports photography, but he's indispensable for portraiture. When compared to the price, the RF 85 1.2 lens's improvement is negligible.

An ideal product for any type of consumer.

I purposefully left one system for Kenon to use with this lens. There were challenges in using this lens while dealing with vintage nickels. But now that you own an Eos R, you can put those concerns to rest, as many of the drawbacks no longer apply to mirrorless cameras. My go-to and most costly lens.

Pros
  • Amazing artistry, excellent sharpness to blur ratio, solid construction.
Cons
  • By my own means, I have been unable to locate it. There are some potential drawbacks to this lens, but they are outweighed by the benefits.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best thing I have ever used, highly recommended!

Perhaps the most controversial glass from Kenon. Even after a year of use it is difficult to write an objective review. It seems that there are no sensible pluses and there are many minuses. But nevertheless, it was this lens that fell in love with most of all and, despite all the "buts", became a "staff member". Has pros: I won’t talk about aperture, colors, sharpness, drawing. Here and so everything is clear and repeated many times. Very precise focus. Misses are possible if the hand or…

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

As soon as this glass is on the camera and you start shooting, that's it - there is no other alternative! The question arises: where to put all the other lenses now? :) (Shuuuutka) Some pros: The colors are unreal - like on a medium slide format. Sharpness rings like a razor. Backgrounds are blurred - just a picture. Incredible glass - the best, even in the L range. The most-presame portrait painter, without any BUT. Its cons: Well. the price, of course. Although this quality can not be…

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

This is my most favorite lens. The things that the 85 does, no other lens does. Colors, sharpness, bokeh - just a fairy tale for those who shoot portraits. I shoot in conjunction with mark 4, I'm happy as an elephant.

Pros
  • - colors - sharpness - bokeh
Cons
  • - the weight - the price, but it justifies itself to the penny

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

Specially attached 2 pictures. What nonsense - the lens can make a cool picture. (lighting through the window on a cloudy day + glazed balcony) Picture 1.2 iso 125

Pros
  • Picture. Needed only for her)
Cons
  • Of course, you can’t shoot sports with him, but for portraits - a must have. Moreover, the difference with the RF 85 1.2 lens is significantly less than the cost)
