I like the size of this wooden frame
Sometimes I need smaller wooden hoops for limited space. I use both wooden hoops and spring hoops. The wooden ones don't grip the thread as much because they don't have large clamps to get in the way. Also, the clamps have an area that is not under tension, but the wooden hanger has tension all around.
