One star is too high. I had a 10 inch whole house filtration system that I have been using for about 2 years. Due to the amount of water I use, a normal cartridge lasts 2-4 months. Our sulfur levels are quite high and that makes a charcoal filter a must. There are quite a few of these on the market, and they range in price from $20 to just over $60. I started using Whirlpool brand filters but they were in the higher price range. worked very well but there were cheaper options. Most recently I used a GE brand filter. More economical and with very good performance. whirlwind. It's been about 30 hours since I've run the cartridge and I can't tell if it's filtering anything. The sulfur smell is so strong. I put chlorine tablets in my well and now the smell of chlorine is coming. the There is almost no carbon filter in the cartridge. At that point, competitor cartridges would no longer have the smell of sulfur and could also filter chlorine. Absolutely horrible product that absolutely does NOT work! Choose a reputable competitor. UPDATE: After not seeing any improvement in 1 week of service I replaced it with a GE alternative. I have no problems with my water again. This signature Tier1 filter is complete rubbish!
