Very Poor Quality Filter

There isn't usually much time for reviews, I thought I'd save some money on it and realized again that I wouldn't have intended to do differently than Culligan RFC-BBSA. Installed today, seems to work fine but the water became greasy and had to be tried with soap to remove. The seals on each end are complete rubbish, the ones on the Culligan are perfect so I used the extra kit I had. I don't have them anymore, back to Culligan so I don't have to worry about cheap products.

Pros
  • MANY NUMBERS AND MODELS REPLACEMENT PART: This filter is comparable to many 10" x 4.5" 25 micron carbon filters. Replace your old FXHTC GE or RFC-BBSA Culligan water filter with a Tier1 FXHTC filter
Cons
  • There are nuances

It's hard to believe that the negative reviews aren't fake.

I don't believe the bad reviews about this filter. I believe it was written by Calligan! Example: How can a filter contaminate water? Crazy. 25 microns seems spot on. They don't limit the pressure at all. 5 micron filters load too quickly. If you want a good sediment filter with some flavor boost this seems like a good choice. I've been a builder for a long time and have tried a lot. Of course, others work well too, but again, 25 microns is spot on.

Pros
  • IMPROVED WATER QUALITY: Improves the quality of your water by reducing pollution
Cons
  • There are flaws

Terrible product that does not work as advertised!

One star is too high. I had a 10 inch whole house filtration system that I have been using for about 2 years. Due to the amount of water I use, a normal cartridge lasts 2-4 months. Our sulfur levels are quite high and that makes a charcoal filter a must. There are quite a few of these on the market, and they range in price from $20 to just over $60. I started using Whirlpool brand filters but they were in the higher price range. worked very well but there were cheaper options. Most recently Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
