I have a lux meter and have taken several light readings from the old and new bulbs. The stock amber bulbs may appear dimmer than the white LED bulbs to the untrained eye, but the Original Equipment bulbs provide more light. I got 1-1/2 times more light from the standard bulbs, and no matter where I got the readings from, the LEDs never exceeded the light output of the standard bulbs. I was hoping for more light from LEDs and the only thing I like is the purer white color of the light. If you want to change the hue they're fine, but if you're looking for brighter bulbs they're no good.
