is the only docking station that will power Dell XPS laptops (dock with NIC card). I tried it with 2 others who said they could do it but couldn't get the job done. This particular dock is also listed on the Dell website. This particular dock actually looked like it wasn't a generic fake when the package arrived. Other docks I've tried arrive with no product label on the device, which is also suspicious. This docking station is particularly good because it has a network card. There is one from Anker that powers the Dell XPS. But she has no network card. In my experience with Dell tech support, Dell doesn't advise you on third-party docking stations, so it was a test of frustration as to what would work. All of the Dell XPS models I'm talking about have Thunderbolt ports.
