I wanted to set up something cheap for my first base station. This is a temporary thing on a tripod in a rented house. I got an SWR of less than 1.5 on 2m and 70cm right out of the box. In fact, the SWR is under 2 up to the GMRS and MURS bands, so it's a much wider range than advertised. Very happy with it!
