Review on RPWFE Refrigerator Water Filter NEW by Benjamin Cleveland

I ordered this replacement water filter for my GE fridge and thought it would work as intended. After waiting 3 weeks for the product, I installed it and it worked for about 1 liter of water. The refrigerator stops working with the message "Replace filter". Installed the old filter and everything worked. Tried it again with the new one, same thing. After you examine the filter more closely, there is a microchip that is needed to communicate with the fridge to let you know when the filter needs to be replaced. The replacement I received does not have this chip, rendering the filter useless. The company says to ship it back to the address listed on their website, but nothing is listed. Filters are quite expensive and consumers should not deal with such a scam!
