The tables are a bit lighter than they appear on my screen (where they look almost black). They arrived ASSEMBLED which was a pleasant surprise. I took the advice of another reviewer and bought this. 1" Self Adhesive Hard Surface Oatmeal Round Felt Furniture Pads Pack of 48 to cover the screws under each countertop so they don't scratch the surface of the screws underneath when stacked. I have a very small round dining table and love them next to each seat for drinks, side dishes, snacks etc. Especially when we're playing dominoes - we don't mess around lol! The game takes up the entire table and those tiles fly. Drinks and food are safe now! hehe. I also use one to set my laptop up when I'm on the couch I'm disabled and I spend a lot of time on the couch :( They can be used as chairs for kids or smaller adults Best $75 I've found have ever spent the only complaint is i waited almost 2 weeks for my order this was hard to be patient but it was worth it very versatile part, looks way better than it should.+++
