Inexpensive gigabit WLAN router. This is a Belkin 7FD8301 router with 4 Gigabit LAN ports and 1 WAN port. It has 2 USB ports and a reset button on the back. Very simple diagnostic LEDs (only 1 above). The default firmware looked ok but was quite outdated (2010). I didn't try to update from the Belkin site, downloaded DD-WRT instead (no problem). It features a 453MHz Broadcom chipset, 64MB RAM and 8MB Flash. The weakest feature of this model is the wireless connection. The signal strength with default settings is much weaker than my TP-Link WR841N and WR1043ND routers. (They were in the same room on channels 1, 6 and 11 to avoid interference) This router had a consistently 10-20dBm lower signal strength. This is my first router without external antennas and I'm starting to notice a difference in performance.
