I like the overall design of this drawer with the retractable side door to save space. However, there are flaws in design and functionality. The end door works well and solidly. Hooray! I wish the rest of the box was just as well done! The long side door has design and durability issues. First, the side door slides up and pops out instead of staying on the open 'pathway'. Putting a dog in a 42" cage while holding/latching the door is no fun because it protrudes completely at the top or sides. The one doorstop is a joke on such a long rickety door. The 4 welds are BROKEN that hold the door close to the drawer body. I tried gluing Loctite and twisting the zip ties to keep the door track on the drawer and the door from popping out of the drawer. A strong dog can easily break through the vertical door rail and run away! My Golden Retriever pup is quite gentle so I'm not too concerned about using this at home but wouldn't travel with him. Drawer welds only broke when opening and closing the door (which isn't done often because I don't like dealing with that door design). I have a 36" Kong box with the same lift up door concept so this isn't my first experience with roller doors - just poorly finished, especially unsafe for large dogs! I also had an issue with a hole in the crate tray (probably due to shipping/handling) which luckily was replaced in time. Good customer service.
