Gimbal has evolved so much over the years. I remember when the first mirrorless camera tripods were bulky, heavy and didn't have long battery life. This is a revolution in the suspension market. It is so compact compared to even two year old devices. I use my Sony A6500 with no problems. Support for a heavier payload means I can put on a fixed focal length lens without worrying about it tipping over. I mean "same" because balance is still important. I can't use a telephoto lens with a heavy front unless the tripod hole is somewhere dead center. At least I'm not limited to the standard pancake lens. Most often I use 30 and 50 mm. I tested it on my smartphone and it works just as well. I just wanted something versatile so I didn't have to buy another gimbal just to use it on a different device. Remember that the scale must be recalibrated every time you change devices. All 3 axes need to be completed, which doesn't take long but can be a little annoying. I'd rather just use one camera during the day depending on my upcoming shooting needs and switch to another camera as a last resort. It's really not that bad, but I don't want to mess with it. So far it works great. The video is very stable. Even some up and down movements with big steps and running are no problem. The battery life exceeded my expectations. The motors definitely feel powerful (especially when I accidentally hold the camera while driving). I feel like it's trying to adjust, which is probably not good for the stabilizer. The controls are also simple and user-friendly. Connections, plug connections, fit and workmanship look very good. Everything is smooth and smooth. There is no roughness anywhere. No rough surfaces. The paint finish is the same throughout. I'm glad they paid such attention to detail in the production. The only criticism is the case. It is made of high quality polystyrene foam. I thought it was disposable until I looked closely. The material doesn't bother me. This is how it was formed for the gimbal itself. It's snug which means it won't move in transit, but once you've adjusted and balanced the gimbal to the camera, you can't put it in your pocket. That means you have to reset it to fit the case and rebalance the gimbal before using it. Measurements help when you're recording something, but it feels awkward. All it really needs is a little more play and clearance for the axle, but the grip can be shaped to fit for good support. This is a small rant about an excellent product. To be honest, I wouldn't take a gimbal with me in this bulky case. It's small enough to fit in a jacket pocket or attach to a backpack. The zippers help it feel more secure as it doesn't wobble in my bag when in transit. Actually I don't know when I will use the case even if it may come back after balancing.
