A wonderful product, its nice to use.

Hi all! I took a trial test of the new full-frame Nikon Z7. There is a need to replace the Nikon d850. And the Z7 is a mirrorless upgraded successor. I also took the D 850 as soon as it came out, since only in all the years of work I changed the rubber bands that peeled off the eyecup and the memory card slot, but it worked faithfully in frost, and in rain, and heat. I want to note that Nikon produces very high-quality and reliable equipment. The transition to mirrorless was embarrassing for me, but the fact that they are many times smaller and lighter played a role here, which is important when you carry all your photographic equipment with you, this is especially noticeable at the airport, because when traveling there is always a struggle for weight and for several hours goes to the dilemma - what to take and what not by repeatedly weighing the suitcase on a home scale. Another point that bribed me is that the camera can shoot video in 4k and 30 frames per second, plus it has axial matrix stabilization - both vertical and horizontal. The screen displays a very realistic picture, and if you shoot with an open aperture, it clearly conveys blurred areas (focusing on the eyes works well and clearly). But I rarely use the screen - mostly the viewfinder, but sometimes clients ask me to show "what happened." In this case, such a high-quality screen will come in handy. On lenses: I tried two of my 85mm and 24-70mm, through an adapter. You need to be more careful when changing lenses on the street on the Z7, you remove the lens, and there the matrix is \u200b\u200bnot protected by anything. Due to the size of the 24-70 lens on this camera, it looks like a telephoto lens and, in general, unusually light equipment is obtained, it is felt noticeably by weight. Focusing is accurate in most cases (but when shooting people, there are still misses, this is understandable - a living object is a living one). I shot in the evening and gradually raised the sensitivity to 3200. As a result, 800 is excellent, and then it’s a bit noisy in my opinion. There were no problems with the electronic viewfinder in the evening.

Pros
  • the same set of functions as the Nikon D850, but the weight is half as much and the video quality is much higher
Cons
  • Of the minuses, I note the use of only an XQD memory card, but I have been using it for a long time, a really indestructible fast card. And the second - a battery for 330 shots, but old ones are suitable
