It really works! for collars, harnesses and leashes

First off, I wanted to know how it felt, so I put it to my throat, set it to the highest setting and made a barking noise. It starts with beeps which is great for the dog to get an alert first. Then it vibrates. I was pleased to learn that even the highest vibration felt like a vibrating cell phone held around my neck. never mind Oddly enough, however, he was so embarrassed when we put it on our dog that he stopped barking. Genius! It was so funny when we first used it. Our dog barked the entire time during the first few beep sessions, but once the vibrations kicked in, she turned her head around and tried to look at her neck in utter confusion. After 6X, it hardly makes a faint sound when the doorbell rings. Now it doesn't even beep anymore. The main reason we wanted that is because he used to be silent when we told him to stop. As he got older he started ignoring us, so we're using this as a fix to stop barking when asked. So far, so good. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the forks and tackle seem too big for a 26 pound dog to carry all day. We take it off after dinner and go back around 10am. I wish someone could come up with an audio proximal version so you don't have to deal with neck prongs, although they are very round and blunt rather than sharp. My friend who recommended this to me told me that she now leaves the collar very loose and flappy for her dog. The fact that she's on him makes him think she's activating. So I hope we get to that point. If you're skeptical like me, it's worth a try. Great price, it's totally humane and according to the reviews it's incredibly effective for most dogs.
