Review on ⏰ Seiko Kazu Mantel Clock" - Optimized Seiko Kazu Mantel Clock by Phillip Samuel

Disappointed with the construction

We love chime mantel clocks and have had them for almost 40 years. Our first was antique and was given to us. Loved it and was sad when it finally stopped working properly. Bought a Seiko watch from a local jewelry store that sells Seiko watches. It served for almost 20 years. The sound has been leaking lately. The jewelry store where we bought the first one is closed and the local jewelry store has no watches at all. I saw several Seiko models on the Revain website. I wanted one that would chime the clock and play a tune for fifteen minutes. This model looked quite nice and had good reviews. So we bought it. Arrived on time, clock and movement worked from the start. But this model also had a pendulum. We weren't looking for a pendulum, but we liked all the other features, so we ordered it. At first we had a real problem with the functioning of the pendulum. Couldn't get it to work. It took more than 30 minutes to put it into action. The directions didn't help either. Very vague instruction manual for the pendulum. Also find the case design looks very cheap - poor quality. At the same time, the "bongs" and chimes are comfortable and soothing. I will buy more but the price is too high for this quality. Of course I hope it lasts a long time.
