If you're looking for the cheapest headphone extension cords then these are for you. If you want to use it as a mic extender, spend more for a shielded cable. I bought these to extend the cord of a small microphone plugged into my headphones to use as a headset. The original cable is about 5 feet long and too short to reach the back of my computer. This cable is great for sending audio to headphones, but plugging a mic into it introduces significant electronic hum in the background of the mic recording. . I don't know if it's the length of the cable or the lack of cable shielding, but when the microphone is plugged directly into the computer, the hum is much quieter (almost inaudible). I need a microphone for online meetings, so I'll just take care of the hum for now. Those cables were so cheap it wasn't worth sending back anyway. I end up getting an external sound card and a better microphone to solve this problem. Overall they definitely feel cheap and I doubt they will last very long with regular use.
