I got this for my husband as he wasn't happy with the one he was using at the BBQ because it took a long time to show the temp and it wasn't digital so left a bit of guessing. He felt the grill was losing too much heat from being open for so long and his hands got too hot holding it and waiting for the temperature to register. So I gave it to him early on while we were cooking Thanksgiving turkey. Loved how easy it is to use, super easy to read with backlight as a bonus! But its most exciting review was that it records temperatures quickly and the digital format leaves no doubt. He was impressed by how easy it was to turn it on and off and that it had a temperature display for when he couldn't remember what temperature the meat product was supposed to be. He thanked me several times, so I call it a win!
