Does not work if your car door does not open fully and does not have a large enough flat area at the bottom of the doorway. Be careful - it doesn't work on any of our vehicles (Mercedes E500 2006, Mercedes GLC 2018, Fiat 500 2016). It would be nice if you had a minivan with a fully opening door. The problem is that the ramp needs to be at 90º to the entrance to be safely positioned (no extensions). For cars and small SUVs with smaller doors and doors that don't open fully, a ramp will only fit at one angle. This means that this ramp will not securely engage the sill of the doorway. Luckily I was able to use the kickstand on the GLC which gives our 12 year old car an extra 'bounce' at the end of the ramp. old corgi, but he's not perfect.
