Link saved by Walking Off Another Cliff

UPDATE After several hundred hours of Splatoon, BoTW and Animal Crossing, the joycon joystick replacement still works great. We haven't had any drift issues since then, so we're still very happy with the purchase! I love my Nintendo Switch but god their controllers tend to drift. I once sent my Joy Cons directly to Nintendo for a fix and was disappointed to find that the drift issue returned after about a year. Since my options were limited to "buy new $80 OEM controllers" (if they're in stock), "buy a fake one," or "try to fix it yourself," I decided to keep both of my controllers repair myself, because I most likely threw away new. controllers anyway and I had nothing to lose. The replacement Starko joysticks were the solution to my Link coming off the cliff issue. Only the joysticks you need to replace your joycons are included in the kit. You'll need a small Phillips screwdriver, a tri-wing screwdriver, and angled tweezers to easily swap out the joysticks. Instructions and skills are also missing, but since the inner workings of the Joy Cons are different, it is still better to watch the online video. As far as craftsmanship goes, you need a steady hand, and I warn you - if you can't thread a needle without twisting it, you might just want to pay someone else to do it. It took less than 10 minutes to swap out a joystick and after reconnecting to the switch and calibrating it worked great. The joysticks work just like the OEM controllers and move smoothly with no lag or weird movement. At less than $5 for a joystick, it was an absolute steal compared to buying a new controller. All in all, if you're fed up with your gambling losses and have a steady hand, Starko joysticks are worth getting.
