Review on Experience Enhanced Stability with A&R Bob Skates Double Runner Strap-on Skates by Patrick Burton

They work, but there are many problems.

Super cheap product, clearly mass produced in China or somewhere in China. The suppliers of these skates can (and should) do a few things to ensure they meet the standards of customers in a first world country. First, the holes where the straps were supposed to go are blocked and sealed with plastic due to a manufacturing defect. It looks like they came out of a hot mold and the hole melted. I had to heat a screwdriver with a plumber to punch holes. The buckles that clamp the straps don't work well and should be better. Nylon straps are about 4 times longer than a child's leg. They need to be cut. If you don't find out before you get on the ice, you have to try and chill the sleeping bag, tie it up and put it in a sock or something, and that's dangerous. Additionally, if you cut them, you must cauterize the cut with a flame, as this type of nylon immediately unravels into a million loose, slippery strands. After about 1/2 hour we lost the wing nut holding the front and heel of the slate together. I've been looking for it for a long time and never found it on a busy ice rink. The only positive was the fact that my 2 year old daughter could balance and slide on the ice enough to feel like she was skating and having fun.
