Review on ☕ Peet's Coffee Nerissimo Espresso Capsules - Intensity 11 | 50 Count Single Cup Coffee Pods | Nespresso Original Brewers Compatible by Badpuppy Warton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's still "Nespresso. What else? "

I've tried all 4 of Peet's for Nespresso and this is my impression of Nerissimo Intensity 11. (Small caveat: I'm grew up with Peet's Coffee and look for his espresso whenever and wherever I can) BRIEFS: Peet's has the best coffee for OriginalLine machines besides Nespresso; However, Nespreso still tastes better and produces a smoother, richer cup across the intensity scale. PACKAGING AND PODs: As mentioned in other reviews, Peet's have done an excellent job creating a sturdy, practical yet stylish box for each batch of 10 pods. The capsules are well protected and the box is ready for gifting, just add some tape :) After more than 2 dozen capsules (different flavors), none are stuck or punctured. NOW CASH SHOT: I drink espresso, short and simple. Nerissimo would be Nespresso's equivalent of Darhan or Kazaar. While I can drink and still enjoy the last two a few minutes after pouring, Nerissimo loses its crema and that little distinct flavor it had within 30 seconds (see picture). It's dark, strong and intense - every other note eludes me. Perhaps Pete's people will agree, as the description on the box suggests adding some cream! With a teaspoon or so 1/2 and 1/2 this drink is now rich, strong and gently rich. Something like a Café Breve or Café Noisette. This espresso would be perfect for an affogato. After about 2 dozen capsules (different flavors) there was no problem with the amount of coffee/liquid extracted. RECYCLING: There is currently no recycling program in place. My local recycling center refused to accept the containers. I mixed Pete's capsules with Nespresso capsules and sent the packages to the Nespresso recycling center. CONCLUSION: Nerissimo Pita is dark, strong and simply flat; Best with whipped cream or ice cream. For money and richer, more vibrant flavors, stick with Nespresso. That's what this sad Pitnik says.
