This is a fun toy that can be used to teach many things such as colors, counting, animals, sorting and matching. I bought these for my grandchildren who are 14 months old. and 29 months. The animals are very well made and fit perfectly in small children's hands. There is a hole at the bottom to fit your finger as a finger puppet. The barn roof is a little more difficult to install on a barn for a younger child. But she likes to hide animals and play hide and seek with them. I think the barns will break if accidentally stepped on. I would recommend them for more than 2 years.
