I wasn't sure if this would work on the Sony a57 without an adapter, especially as none of the reviewers/buyers here have tried this model so I'm crossed my fingers and bought it. Fits without an adapter. I took a few photos with it and it works fine. The recharge time between charges is between 1/2 second and 1 second. Build quality is excellent despite being lightweight. It has an outer cone that simply snaps into place and the head rises to 3 positions in height and tilts back and forth to multiple positions. It's bright and provides excellent illumination in most situations. Considering the price, you can't go wrong with this flash. One important thing to note is that this model DOES NOT have a USB port for firmware updates. Not enough for me to deduct a star, but definitely something worth mentioning in the product description.
