Great - works as advertised - on my Sony NEX7 camera. I can't talk - wish my head would turn - to any other app for portrait work. but the light is good and strong - i can't remember the guide number - i think you can find it online in the instruction manual.

Using NEX-7 with Zeiss 16-70: Very good exposure and easy pan/zoom. ADI (similar to TTL) works great and produces an even and comfortable light. However, the battery is disappointing: a very shaky flap. Argued between this and Sony HVLMi. I went for the Metz prize and its larger lead number - glad I did, very pleased so far. By the way, the adapter for NEX-7 is not required.

The flash itself is fine, but don't count on the manufacturer discount when you buy something from Revain. They put some stickers on the UPC code on the box. The UPC code was needed to get the $30 rebate and Manfrotto/Metz didn't accept mine even though I sent the entire bottom flap of the box. You could see there was a UPC code under the labels but they said they couldn't tamper with it so no discounts for me.

I ordered this to use with my new Sony NEX-7 camera. I wanted a small flash with a high enough guide number to give a good reflective flash and spread the light for wide angle use in group shots. I wasn't sure if this would work on the Sony a57 without an adapter, especially as none of the reviewers/buyers here have tried this model so I'm crossed my fingers and bought it.
