I wouldn't say it's a defect in the product, maybe it's just my picky gecko. I used to feed my geckos the same food all the time, which you probably shouldn't do. But one fine day, he just decided not to eat that strain anymore. Since he likes to hide during the day, I never saw him until it was too late. He lost a lot of weight and became very thin. So I had to buy a grow and breed mix (which he seems to love) to help him put the weight back on. Now that he has regained his weight I switch 2 and he will eat apricot but that is probably his least favorite food of all the ones I have fed him.
