Hard to believe this cable is anything "active" when it doesn't contain an external power supply. In fact, the energy coming from the source device is wasted lighting a meaningless blue LED on the outlet. I'm no expert, but it seems totally counterproductive to me to waste power on something designed to prevent signal loss over long cables? Where does the energy needed to create a repeating signal come from? Secret space satellites? elves? Or should I tape a potato battery outside with tape? In any case, there is absolutely no video coming from the other end of this thing. It just doesn't work. The video signal is on, the video signal is not output. It doesn't matter if I connect my VR headset or multiple DisplayPort enabled monitors to it, and they all work great when plugged directly into the same ports I've tried using this thing on. They all report no connection when this cable is between them. What a waste of time.
