Works with valve suffix

Exactly what the name says. Combined with the same company's USB extension cable, it's as good as plugging my Index directly into my computer, but without the added hassle of putting my computer in the next room where I'm less likely to bump into my furniture.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • May damage

No signal with HP Reverb

While the Displayport Cable Matters 6 foot passive extension cable worked fine with my HP Reverb helmet, this cable didn't work at all. The mixed reality portal would just say "Check the displayport cable". Maybe it's just a defective item? Maybe.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Great for Oculus Rift S

I purchased this and the Cable Matters USB 3.0 Extender to extend cables on my Oculus Rift S. This works great since it's an active display port cable (inactive DP extender doesn't work t work with the bug). I haven't had any flickering or performance issues since using it and it's a very reasonable price. If you are planning to increase the length of your S rift, this is for you.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Neutral

Doesn't work for Rift S. Customer service is also bad.

Doesn't work for Rift S. Customer service is also bad. Didn't work out of the box. He also had one of those "We want you to be happy, contact us" cards. So I did. They only insist it should work because they say it should work. After several emails over the course of a few days they offer a refund/replacement. I could do it myself. Conclusion: The cable sent to me does not work with the Rift S. It first recognizes the headset and then discards it. support is not helpful. To return.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Some bugs

Troubleshooting Oculus Rift S

I have a three point problem with my Oculus Rift S. When it worked it worked great, when it didn't work it didn't work to my DisplayPort To move the connection to the front of my computer instead of crawling under my desk to plug and unplug it. Since purchasing this product I have not had any of the three point issues that come with connecting directly to a graphics card. I can leave the cable plugged in all the time and plug in my Oculus Rift S whenever I want to use it. This not only solvedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Making me nervous

Hard to believe this cable is anything "active" when it doesn't contain an external power supply. In fact, the energy coming from the source device is wasted lighting a meaningless blue LED on the outlet. I'm no expert, but it seems totally counterproductive to me to waste power on something designed to prevent signal loss over long cables? Where does the energy needed to create a repeating signal come from? Secret space satellites? elves? Or should I tape a potato battery outside with tape? In

Pros
  • Looks great
Cons
  • Hard to tell

This cable doesn't get enough credit!

Most VR setups or long runs for displays are severely limited by the length of the DP cable. Most of the cables on the market are passive cables which cause severe performance degradation even at 3 feet. I bought 2 cables. Highly rated 6 foot DP male to female cable (passive) and this cable (active) shortly after. The 6ft cable "worked" but I kept seeing artifacts in my VR. It almost looked like individual pixels would occasionally blink different colors at random intervals. It wasn't terribleโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • I'll write back later
