Had to attach a fence post to a boulder in one of my areas where there was no electricity and I wasn't planning on taking a generator to power my electric rock drill for this one use. The DCH273B quickly drilled four 10-inch holes in a boulder and punched through an old concrete foot that needed repositioning. also good hearing protection. One more detail: make sure you have SDS drills on hand. Pros: - Versatility, enough power for demo work or masonry work. - SDS drills are much easier to replace and durable. The chisel got stuck in the concrete, so I quickly unhooked it and drilled through it with a 5/8" x 12" drill bit. No worry at all of hitting or breaking it. - Definitely a great addition to any handyman or professional. I would also recommend a dust collection bracket if you are drilling overhead. Cons: - Heavy, but not as easy as I would like. It was noticeably more difficult to clip to my tool belt than my regular 20V drill - More expensive than its corded cousins. - SDS bit system, I'm glad I got some SDS drill bits before using.
