Review on HMTECH 7" Raspberry Pi Monitor - Wall Mountable, Portable Gaming Monitor, PS4 Display, 60Hz HDMI by Jesse Clayton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

HDCP Incompatible: NO Disney+, Netflix, Hbomax, Hulu, etc.

This little monitor looks good and works well. UNTIL you try to play the video on Netflix, Disney+ or Hbomax. It doesn't matter if the video is played on another monitor, HDCP (Digital Content Protection/drm on video) will make a small monitor snow like an old TV. Turn off the offensive video and everything will be like rain. . A small monitor CAN work with YouTube, Curious Stream, and other non-HDCP video players, but becomes useless when trying to watch TV and multitask at the same time. Some video games can pose a problem. You can't just disable HDCP, if at all. You can go without some HDMI splitters, and the cheapest splitter I've found is $15, which isn't too bad, but it's possible to find an HDCP-capable display for just a few dollars more than this (but I can't verify that claim! , lol). I don't hate it, but its usability is severely limited if, like me, you're constantly watching HDCP streams. I will update this review when I get the splitter.
