I bought this cart to install an SSD in my Asus Vivo VM42 Mini PC. This is ideal as it is in the same form factor as the standard 3.5" hard drive that comes with the PC and you can simply snap the new SSD into the case via the caddy connector. Mounting hardware comes with the caddy and its outer frame accepts the same coarse thread screws as standard HDDs, while the inner frame uses M3 fine thread screws for SSDs. This is a plus in my application because I reused coarse thread mounting bushings that were on the OEM disk . I then installed the caddy (with built in SSD) just like the original drive for a perfect and secure fit. One of these is somewhat cheap in terms of construction and finish. However, I originally bought a Rosewill container for this project and it doesn't take coarse thread screws on the outer frame. That might be fine in other applications, but I needed really rough tapped holes. Although it has been made better. Well, like I said, it worked out great and I'm very happy with this find.
