I like the solid construction and quality. For example, it's full metal, and the threading is even, with no flaws. After a complex installation, which is usually very simple, it works well. Doesn't leak when it's off! The difficulty I encountered was that with the threads on the shower holder (portable) and the pipe the water flow regulator slider was facing towards the shower holder and could not be freely adjusted while showering (chafing on the holder). To rotate the control knob away from the holder I had to make my own rubber washer much thicker. The washer that comes with it is very thin. It may need to come with another thicker shim to allow the customer to mix and match shims to turn the adjuster in the correct direction after the valve is installed. Without my issue, this valve is rated a 5. Maybe you're lucky and don't have this problem. I bought a different manufacturer's valve with a different finish for a different shower and it took about 5 minutes to install (instead of 20 for this valve).
