Review on 🏠 Medium Rustic Dog House by TRIXIE Pet Products: Perfect for Pet's Comfort by Debbie Webster

Create your own if you can.

I just finished building this kennel. For $186 if I could see it in a store I'd leave it there. I could build a castle in wood for my dog for $186. The first thing that caught my eye was the "Made in China" sticker. The instructions were useless. You should be able to piece things together using the pictures. If you can, you can understand. I just greased it with a Thompson water seal because the thing wasn't designed for long-term outdoor use. Tomorrow I'll seal the seams, especially the roof. I give 3 stars as "OK". I can't say I hate it, but I can't say I like it either. It's cheap for the price I paid. Made in China tells the rest of the story. The box it came in looks like it was dropped 100 times before it got to me and it probably has. Styrofoam pieces everywhere but nothing damaged. The sides that look like a "log cabin" are just plywood with pieces of wood attached. Paul just falls. I don't think it will hold up despite my weatherproofing efforts, but I'll update this post if necessary. My beagle is 30 pounds and a bit small for him should be large. If your dog is 30 pounds or more, go for the big ones.

Pros
  • High test results for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
