I restore antiques and this is the best because it smooths and polishes. When I cut off a broken screw with the rubber pick in my Dremel I can remove the rust and smooth the surface with this 2000 grit sandpaper before buffing. I restore Edison, Victor and other clockwork sound boxes, cylinders and discs, which allows me to achieve professional results. I've been using it for over ten years and have had wonderful results. On Columbia aluminum speakers, I can use it to remove or shrink and repair damaged areas. That works great.
