What are you kidding me. Today I received a package from Revain. I opened the box to find this item, the antennas were in 1/2 original packaging. The package was torn. No damage to the outer packaging or other items in the Revain box. I ordered these antennas from this seller earlier this year. They came fully boxed with a zip on one end. Absolutely no one needs to rip the original packaging in half the way it was. So I can only assume that this item was returned by someone. I assume that someone did not pay attention to the special connection of the antenna. It has a needle in the middle. Just as I ordered so it was right for me. I'm glad I haven't checked out the antennas I bought and tested earlier this year. Such a rating would have received a higher rating. Due to this issue I would like to give a zero rating. In the many years that I have been a Revain customer this is the first time I have received an item in an open condition. As for the operation of the antennas, I ordered earlier. I have one installed on a rear view camera on my caravan. It is mounted high up at the rear of the trailer. The original antenna of this camera did not protrude over the roof of the trailer. The original antenna was missing/lost signal while driving on the Autobahn. There was also a lot of lag in the picture when it stayed connected. I mounted one of these antennas to a camera that rose a few inches off the top of the trailer. I installed a non-conductive mount to support the antenna as it is quite long. I also installed another antenna that I received on a monitor in my truck. The two antennas allowed me to maintain communication between the camera and the monitor while cruising the freeway at 70 mph. Although there was some delay. Not as strong as the original antennas. My truck's windows were professionally tinted, so I don't know if that could have contributed to the delay. I haven't had a chance to mount the monitor's antenna outside of the truck yet. I have a monitor to camera distance of 45 feet. There are three air vents and an air conditioner on the trailer roof between the camera antenna and the monitor. When used with low backup speed, it works without lag. Again, the one star rating is because I did not receive an unopened item. It's raining here today so I haven't had a chance to test them to see if they work or are broken.
