This is a very nice bird cage. BUT as an exhibit. The size of the cage is suitable for a canary or a finch. A parrot can easily run away from a canary, finch or lovebird! This cage is even too small for a budgie because it has to fly. that's too small a cage for a cockatiel. And the wires are far enough apart for escape. However. The price is unbelievable. it is really beautiful. and so I buy the wire. and i will do design. to avoid evidence. recolor it and save it! If you want a really nice addition to your decor. artful and feminine. That's it. if you put a small live bird in it. get ready to work on it a little! You should also place aluminum foil on the bottom shelf as there is no retractable, removable shelf with newspaper or paper towels on the foil. [Because the birds will peck at the foil and it will kill them.] It's still worth it to me. because it is a very beautiful thing. UPDATE: I NEED TO CHANGE THE BIRD CAGE TO A PLANT CAGE. RECOMMENDED FOR AESTHETIC PURPOSES ONLY! LEARNED THE DIFFICULT THAT THEY MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE GRID ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CAGE OR THE BIRD FEET WILL SWIRL WITH THEIR OWN POO. DISGUSTING!
