Fake Screws. - Bathroom Shelves

My screwdriver tore the "screws" that came with the product and I just used a hand screwdriver instead of a drill to try to assemble the components. I don't know what the panels are made of, probably wood coated with some kind of resin or hard material. This unit is not easy to assemble. I may need a drill and stronger screws to assemble it. It might not even be worth building the shelf. Update: The shelf is hanging on my bathroom wall. I was able to safely assemble and mount it to the wall BUT I replaced all the screws with the screws I had on hand. Moral of the story: the product is fine, but the hardware isn't.
