I have used four racks of this type and was disappointed with the advertised dimensions and load capacity compared to the actual dimensions and load capacity. This medium is advertised as 7.5 inches, expandable to 9.5 inches. You can bet the first thing I did when my carrier arrived was measuring it. Miraculously, in advertising there is a proven truth. Not only did its size and ease of use live up to the hype, I was equally impressed when I put my 17.3-inch laptop in the trunk and found there was space all around. I can load it to full capacity and it closes easily. The material is more water-repellent than my previous carriers. All in all, I expect this tote to last longer than any of my more expensive totes. For less than $25, you can't bet that price with a stick. I am reordering my order for one more before the price increase.
