It has a lot of good things in it, so I think the price is reasonable, it even goes beyond good food. I'm very glad it has glucosamine (and the dog still loves it) which is great for arthritis prevention and pain relief. Better start early! Don't wait until they need it, but I would say it's never too late. Apple cider vinegar (get the capsules if not drinking or taking it with food) and glucosamine really revitalized my 13 year old Dalmatian's back (they are prone to arthritis or hip dysplasia and this will give them relief). per day and I probably didn't start it until I was 11 or 12 but with the combination I saw results in 2 weeks and we were so excited. People in the family have also used and approve of glucosamine. If you ever have trouble feeding your dog what you know is great dog food, pour some water in his bowl and see how much olive oil he can eat and heat it for 10 or 15 seconds . They're watching you because they think something special is going on. Or an egg, just make sure you look for something appropriate for your dog's breed and size. You may need to give them half the yolk in the morning and half the yolk in the evening if they can't have two eggs. Just in case there are very picky dogs!
