Review on πŸ”§ Milescraft 4006 3" Benchclamp - Versatile Clamp for T-Tracks, Clamp Tables & Clamp Plates by Brandon Reynolds

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Little things keep this tool from getting 5 stars.

Looks like a pair of vices on steroids adapted to T-Track. And basically it is like this. I have 3 tracks attached to my 48" x 60" desktop. I have a 1/2 inch teflon layer on top. I carefully cut it into 5 pieces, inserted the T-rail into the 3 slots provided and attached the whole thing very securely to the 3/4" double countertop. ran machine screws with T-nuts through the workbench for a rail that has countersunk holes pre-drilled every 12"; the included 1/2" wood screws were not used. Make sure the screws fit snugly and aren't protruding, which will prevent the tool from slipping. First, the bolt, which is designed to slide along this track on the underside of the tool, has a round head. It barely overcomes the Track and slight bumps in the road fell is a problem. so i had to put these sliding bolts in mr belt sander. it was initially acceptable and then i bought a pack of 50 pack sliding t bolts which are flat and have no driver imprint, the bolts in the kit have a good hex head and even pre applied blue thread lock what a waste, the tool must have one be turned back and forth a bit and to the depth it was screwed to. The tool was too deep for my application. Then a small update of the tool. Now only one complaint remains. It seems that many clamping tools from China have a nice plastic or rubber coating to avoid scratching the item to be clamped, this part falls off easily. I've noticed that for a long time. My solution is to put some superglue on the rubber cover and reattach it and it stays in place otherwise it will end up on the floor and eventually get lost.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
