This product was a direct replacement for the stock drivetrain on our 2012 Traverse. I had to buy a thin ratchet and a T20 torx bit. Using a headlamp is a plus, and if you have gloves, put them on or you could end up with bloody knuckles. It took a while to remove the three 3/4" screws, but they were removed without losing them in the dark abyss. Installing the screws I had to use some tape on the screw heads and a T20 torx bit with it they didn't get lost while aligning them with the drive mounting holes.Working upside down under the dash gave me the best angle and view to get all the screws in. While under the dash I got the cabin air filter inspected and replaced so if you don't have the following items that I had to purchase for this job here they are: Headlamo, 1/4" thin socket, 1/4" swivel head and T20 torx bits. Be patient and take a break when you come around the corner in frustration. Good luck
