When I insert the plug into the extension there is no contact between the plug and the extension except for the last 1/8 inch to hold the pins of the plug in place Large copper surface to ensure good contact with the to make plugs. This extension only has a small amount of copper held onto the connector with no spring mechanism. With a tiny amount of copper making contact, each use is powerful - the current heats up a small area of the copper contact. Since there is no "spring" mechanism, I would expect the extension to come loose soon and no longer hold the plugs securely.
