Review on JVC HARX900 Black Full-Size High-Grade Headphones by Justin Yay

Bulky headphones but excellent quality

I bought these headphones because I wanted better sound quality and more noise reduction, in these parameters I was completely satisfied. What I didn't realize, however, was that these headphones weren't designed for on-the-go listening. The cable is VERY long. It's also a thick, durable sensor, meaning it probably won't break or get tangled easily, but its length will increase as you tie it together. The cord was so long that I had to tie several feet, resulting in a harness about 4 x 2 x 1 inches that is quite large, big enough that I just put a carabiner on it and attached it to the belt loop. so my pockets don't bulge. The long cable can definitely come in handy if you plan to use it in some sort of music studio, on your computer, or anywhere else you're not travelling. I wanted to do this, it was very nice not to need an extension, but it was overkill for my needs. Next up, this is a serious set of cans. Headphones, while VERY comfortable, are BIG. 4.5 inches in diameter and about 2 inches deep, meaning they stick out about 2 inches from the head. It's fine if you wear them while sitting, but they can be chunky when moving around, or if like me you listen to music while you sleep, they can be too big. Or if like me you like your headphones to rest on your shoulders when not in use, they're about the same size as my closest ones, and when I do that they feel like a neck brace rather than I just leave them sitting on my head near my ears. In general, I still really like the headphones despite their size and the excessive number of cables. The fact that I travel with them quite a bit is a testament to their durability as they still look pretty new despite being beaten up and all. The cable that runs through the top is a neat carry handle and I often clip the carabiner I attach to the cable bundle to the top of the headset and then I can clip the headphones to my bag or elsewhere. a true audiophile who can give a detailed explanation of the sound quality but I listen to all types of music from classical to rock, hip hop, pop, alternative, symphonic, movies etc really anything. They're a lot better quality than any other headphones I've used, except maybe some real noise cancellation at the top of the Bose line, but MUCH better than the Beats for a lot less money and more durability. The bass is good and the sound is rich and deep, not just loud.
