Effective. Nice rich sound. Big but comfortable.

I have JVC, AKG 240 Studio, Grado SR60i and Sony MDR V-600. I bought Sony a long time ago, about 15 years ago for about $100. Grados about 12 years ago. Two others recently. Sony doesn't even compare itself to these three, so I won't mention them again. The Grados have good detailed sound, but they lack bass and don't have a very comfortable fit on the ear despite their light weight. The AKG's sound signature is similar to Grados, but with lower frequencies. They sit comfortably on the ear…

Great budget headphones

All in all these are great headphones. The ear pads are some of the most comfortable I've worn, as is the top head support band. Nothing felt overbearing or heavy considering this set weighs around 12 ounces. I use it to monitor audio levels when streaming on Twitch and it has worked wonders so far. Pros: very comfortable, easily adjustable, long cable for desktop situations, balanced sound quality. Cons: no locking mechanism for 1/4" adapter, doesn't fold up like some pricier headsets (not…

I have got it wrong. for in-ear headphones

Well, I've been watching these baddies for about two years now. I liked her look and the reviews were excellent. In the end I decided to pull the trigger and buy them. Ironically, after purchasing it, I also realized that maybe the bass wasn't as good as it should be. I was a bit nervous between reviews. To start with, if you don't like music without intense bass, then these are a lot better than your regular in-ear or in-ear headphones. This is crystal clear, ultra clear sound. However, if…

50mm drivers create a great soundstage. They're big and they charge

These headphones pack a punch. They are very large above the ears, but not too large. Those of you who have read some of my reviews know that I have quite a bit of experience with audio. I refuse to call myself an audiophile, mainly because I believe these sounds are subjective. It is important to know where you are in terms of good sound quality. I think most audiophiles or a few snobs. So I'll try not to use the term and just say that I have almost 40 years of experience with audio and video…

Comparison of HARX700 and HARX900

I have had the HARX700 for about 3 years and absolutely love it. I'm a big fan of the JVC sound, having been a strict Sennheiser customer many years ago. However, I switched to JVC when money was tight and I have no regrets. My HARX700 headphones still work, but the ear cushions have started to degrade and peel off. I could probably replace them but given the cost of the headphones I think 3 years is a good ROI. I almost bought another pair but decided to spend a little more and try the HARX900

Bulky headphones but excellent quality

I bought these headphones because I wanted better sound quality and more noise reduction, in these parameters I was completely satisfied. What I didn't realize, however, was that these headphones weren't designed for on-the-go listening. The cable is VERY long. It's also a thick, durable sensor, meaning it probably won't break or get tangled easily, but its length will increase as you tie it together. The cord was so long that I had to tie several feet, resulting in a harness about 4 x 2 x 1…

After a long search: HA-RX900

short version ----- No regrets. Spend $20 more and buy 900 instead of 700! Longer version --------------- I'm picky about large purchases and do my homework. I've spent days sifting through websites, reviews and forum posts looking for decent headphones that sound great but won't break the bank. These headphones earned a lot of praise online and I was curious if they deserved it. They are? I think so. Let's break it down. Design ------- First off, everyone says these things are big because…
