This splash guard works better than any other metal screens I've had before. However, I have a bit of a suspicion that the handle folding mechanism will hold, hence the four stars. In addition, grease can be a little sticky on the silicone surface, so cleaning requires special attention. I put it in the dishwasher on the flat top shelf, but it collected water droplets that left white stains, despite the dishwasher capabilities that typically can't handle other items I put in there. It is too wide to put on the lower shelf with dishes, as it interferes with the lever of the washing machine. So I wash by hand with lots of detergent. Still, it's better than cleaning up the giant splatters on and around my stovetop.
