The design and function of this collar is much better than previous versions. The activation function of this collar has been greatly improved compared to previous versions. I haven't noticed as many false alarms due to noise from playing or other dogs barking nearby. Multiple sensitivity levels are also a big plus. This is a huge improvement over the previous version. This version does not yet come with an app integration that allows you to see how many times a dog barks throughout the day. Long and short electrode pins allow you to adjust the collar to your dog's coat. An extended metal spike is also included for very long haired breeds. Silicone electrode covers are also included to reduce skin irritation. Silicone covers are effective but are easily lost as they age and become detached from the lead. I've seen other collars with a permanent silicone coating over the electrodes, but this collar doesn't have it. The collar includes an extra strap for larger breeds so this is a nice feature. The smaller collar is great for my 15 pound Maltese and Pomeranian mix. I would like this collar to use something other than a quick release buckle. My dogs play and often pull each other's collars. Quick release buckles allow the collar to unintentionally tighten during rough play, so be aware of this. The beat function can be turned off, set to 8 different levels, or turned into an "automatic" function. Automatic features gradually increase the shock level based on the dog's behavior. If the dog continues to bark even after being shaken the most, the collar stops the correction for a short time for safety reasons. your puppy.
