Flexible Set - Hammer Toys

We bought this for my 2 year old (yes I know the small parts) and kept some of the parts until he was older. The set allows the child to saw the board (Velcro, like cutting food) and use screws and nails to hold the boards together. I love the many options in this set. I think it will take a long time. At first he simply played by putting instruments in the holes above and other objects below. Then he hammered nails, now he's learning to saw and screw. As he gets older he will be able to build certain things out of it. He started using his hands and now he uses tools. I also like that it's quite small. We don't have space for a large tool bench and my son has many interests so I want him to have a variety of toys. As with many new Melissa and Doug products, there will be dents and scratches on the soft wood. For the price I was fine with that. Overall I would recommend it.
